Things to Do in San Diego
December 7th and 8th at Balboa Park
Christmas in San Diego is very special time of year. We don’t have snow to build a snowman like those that live back East and our temperatures are not freezing cold so we put on an extravaganza like no other in the entire country.
Christmas Nights, In our traditional San Diego style, kicks off the holiday season December 7th and 8th. Christmas is a time of giving and the city of San Diego does it best!
I have attended this event every year for as long as I can remember and it just gets better and better. Taking place in one of my favorite all time favorite places, Balboa Park, we are able to easily hold the over 300,000 people over the two days and nights which doesn’t even begin to fill the park. Each day of this New Year 2012, I will bring you a photo of an event, person, animal or activity that you will enjoy here in San Diego. As the dominant On-Line REALTOR® in San Diego and amateur Photographer, I will show you San Diego like it has never been seen.
On this first day of the new year, I visited the Hotel Del Coronado to bring you a most unusual experience. Ice Skating on the shore of the Coronado Beach. It was 70 degrees in the shade and the activity was enjoyed continuously through the day and evening. As you can see, the warm weather created a wet but glassy image on the ice , reflecting the Grand Dame of Hotels, Hotel Del Coronado on the shore of one of San Diego’s finest, deepest and cleanest beaches.
